内容記述 私たちは、生徒の部活動への関わり方に関する調査を通して、生徒の学校へのコミットメントや進路選択のパターンのようすを明らかにして、その分化の規定因を探ろうと試みてきた。近年では、人口規模に代表される地域性や学校規模の違いに注目して、調査を重ねてきた。その過程で「生徒数、教員数、学校施設・設備・備品状況の三者からなる内部環境と、地域社会の社会教育の活動状況という外部環境のバランスの上に、それぞれの学校にふさわしい部活動設置形態・活動のしかたがあるのではないか」という仮説を導きだした。 そこで、この仮説を検証するべく、2017~18年度に、中学校の管理職、教諭、生徒対象の3つの質問紙調査を行った。調査から得られた主な知見は、以下のとおりである。 第一に、学校規模の小さい学校では、部員数が不足していることから、生徒数と部活動数のバランスが取れていないことがわかった。 第二に、学校規模の大きい学校では、複数の部活動間や同じ部の部員間で活動場所が競合していることから、活動場所と部活動数のバランスが取れていないことがわかった。 第三に、顧問としての職務には、学校内での指導や大会等への引率だけでなく、外部団体との関わりや保護者会への出席などの"社会的"活動の場があることがわかった。
内容記述 We have investigated student involvement in club activities, clarified students' commitment to school, patterns of career choices, and attempted to extract the determinants of their differentiation. In recent years, attention has been focused on the differences in regional characteristics and school size represented by population size. As a result, the following hypothesis was derived: "By finding the balance between the internal environment, represented by the number of students, the number of teachers, and school facilities / equipment, and the external environment of social education activities in the local community, we can find an appropriate way of setting up club activities for each school." To test this hypothesis, we conducted three questionnaire surveys targeting junior high school managers, teachers, and students in 2017 and 2018. The main findings are as follows. First, in small schools, the number of students and club activities are not balanced because of the lack of club members. Second, in large schools, the locations of activities and the number of club activities are not balanced because the locations of activities compete between multiple club activities or among members of them. Third, advisory duties include not only guidance in schools and guidance for tournaments, but also places for "social" activities, such as involvement with external organizations and attending parent meetings. The results of this survey are just touchstones. In order to discuss club activity issues more fairly, it is necessary to further carefully select the viewpoints from this survey and conduct a large-scale examination.
