内容記述 In this article we argue for the importance of the digitization of rare editions held by smaller collections. We describe how the effort to do this was conceived and carried out at with special religious holdings at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. We offer a history of the project that includes how we were sponsored throughout and also the administrative and technical challenges that we faced. The importance of education and how this education might be aided by digital recordings is covered. Along with a detailed description of the digital work that was done, the importance of outreach through recorded public lectures, given in real time and also in online interview formats, is stressed. Overall, we describe how a project to digitize and stage small collections online can succeed.
