内容記述 The disaster of the nuclear plant owned by the Tokyo Electric Power Company will result in causing an unnecessary and unfair burden for Japanese tax payers against the company's current shareholders. The fairness of limited liability is justified because of the company's past contribution to economic growth. However, the global sustainability problem has led to a new concept in which the growth concept can no longer be sustained. To modify the current limited liability clause, this paper proposes the creation of a new allowance fund to compensate for the huge disaster claims and for the sake of future global sustainability. This is achieved through an accumulated fund by all investors who initially buy shares of listed companies.
